Erik joined the Wasatch Mountain Guide team in 2021. Currently a certified AMGA Apprentice Ski Guide, he has also completed the Alpine Skills Course and the Single Pitch Instructor Couse. Erik’s avalanche certification is Professional Level 2 and he has been Wilderness First Responder certified since 2020. He began skiing 30 years ago. 

Skiing has been a lifelong passion that began with public school night programs at Bolton Valley, Vermont. Erik spent three years as a ski instructor, has an affinity for freeriding, and still likes to get in some park laps (even though falling hurts a lot more these days). As a hobby, Erik likes to put together ski edits. Check out his YouTube channel.

When Erik is not guiding, he’s hiking and running in the mountains with his dogs, gardening at home, or spending time with his wonderful spouse! He has also been working in digital marketing for the past decade and brings those skills to Wasatch Mountain Guides and other local businesses.
